My name is Derek Hawley. I was recently hired under the maintenance department. I am a Burns Paiute Tribal member and have lived here most of my life.Since a young age I’ve worked several positions with the tribe. I started in Natural Resources, worked for the housing department and was the manager of Jonesboro Ranch, was the YOP crew leader for several years, seasonal maintenance & an on call Cultural monitor. My wife & I have raised 4 beautiful children here in Burns & have fostered several others in their time of need. In our spare time my family is known for selling snow cones in the hot months & cutting wood in the cold months. I look forward to working with the maintenance crew & helping out in the community.
